Even the hippest among us secretly digs some song that's horribly embarrassing. What's yours?

I have a deep love for Billy Joel. I refuse to feel guilty about it

Your life in lyrics: What song speaks to you, and why?

All of them. Some might speak to me like a 12 year old, or someone too stoned to speak coherently, but they all speak. they're all someone's story.

What drink best represents you?

Despite the fact that they aren't my favorite, margaritas might be the best representative. Sweet, sour, salty, and much better if you let it melt a little bit.

also, full of worm DNA.

Tell us about the teacher who had the most impact on your life. What did they teach and what did you learn from them?

My second grade teacher, Mrs. Craig without doubt had the biggest influence on me. She taught me to love reading and I never looked back. She read boxcar children books for the last fifteen minutes of class every day and I couldn't even make it through the first week without having to go get the book so I could know what happened.

The second one would be Mr. Price, who turned down the chance to teach at the ivies to continue teaching at my high school. we had the notes copy down, the boring fact-of-the-matter things, while he told connected stories about whatever era we were talking about. the anecdotes of history are far more interesting than the names-and-dates i was used to getting from history class.

Who was your first celebrity crush? (if you never had one, make one up...)

Christina Ricci in The Adams Family. I feel like this explains a lot. I just don't know what.

(As an aside, she looked better before she decided to lose all the weight. It's depressing.

David Carradine or David Foster Wallace?

DFW was a blight on writing programs everywhere and overrated. David Carradine never did anything to make me angry and wandered the earth. so i'll take DC

If it wasn't for those meddling kids...what would you have gotten away with?

Well, there's the evil carnival, the haunted amusement park, and the black market on meddling organs would have been cornered by yours truly.

What in life, is beautiful to you? Where do you find inspiration?

There is no short way to answer this. I could go on for pages and pages about what is beautiful in life and where I find inspiration. People, places, things, sounds, sights, feelings. Mostly in people though.

What was your favorite book as a child? What is your favorite children's book now?

I don't know if I can really limit it to one, but Judy Blume might be the most influential author of my childhood. specifically "are you there god? its me, margaret." and if anyone questions a boy reading that book, we can take this argument outside :)

Now? Hmmmmm....i still love the black cauldron series by Alexander and i definitely enjoyed the HP books.

Jocks, nerds, preppies, stoners, etc. Which one were YOU in highschool?

We were the ones playing magic or vampire at lunch, wore trench coats, and got good grades. we were dorks, but we were dorks that were feared because one of us was a state champion power lifter who you didn't fuck with.

If someone asked to buy your DNA (i.e. sperm/eggs) for 1 million, citing genetic and physical superiority as the reason, would you?

One million dollars? For a shot of sperm? Seriously? Yeah, you can have it.

If you were stuck in a survival situation with history's most evil villains, and you had to cannibalize one of them to stay alive, who do you think would be most tasty?

Well, hitler was a vegetarian so i don't think he'd be all that flavorful. genghis moved too much, you know he'd be all tough and stringy. maybe vlad tepes probably had the diet and the lifestyle most likely to lead to a good cut of meat.

Cheese or oral? Which would you give up for the rest of your life?

This is really easy for me. Cheese. I'm lactose intolerant.

However, do you mean giving or receiving? I'd really hate to give up giving oral.

What do you want on your tombstone?

I'd rather not have a tombstone. give away what you can of my organs, torch the rest, dump the ashes in moving water.

Though, if there's some sort of urn, you could engrave "Did more good than harm," or something to that affect, it would be nice.

Things that make you momentarily shed your thin veneer of cynical sophistication. Go.

I'd like to think I'm not very cynical, but playing with kids will always wipe away any cynicism I have.
